The Room

More bar than salon

The walls are wood, and almost none of them are bare. Framed prints run to the ceiling, an Old No. 7 sign glows over the counter, and there is a brass gramophone in the corner that is older than most of the barbers.

Bottles line the shelf. There is a dartboard. People arrive early for a cut and end up staying past it, which is the point — the room is half the reason anyone comes back.

Our Barbers

Classic and modern

There is more than one chair here, and not one of them only knows one kind of haircut — a short back and sides, a skin fade off the guard, beard work, a hot towel shave. Ask for whoever you got on with last time, or take whoever is free.

Opening Hours

We are shut on Thursdays

What People Say

4.7

From 207 Google reviews.
Read them on Google →

They ask first

The thing people mention most is being asked what they actually want before anyone picks up a clipper — and then getting it.

Detail at the finish

Lines, edges and the back of the neck come up again and again. The last five minutes are where the reviews say the difference is.

Easy to sit in

The fit-out and the conversation get written about nearly as often as the cut. People describe it as somewhere they do not mind waiting.
